Made me VERY sick 1 out of 5
I have used other brands of Maca with no problem. This one made me very, very sick to my stomach with pain and nausea. It took me a few weeks to isolate what was making me sick - had a full gastro work-up and everything - that's how sick I was! Today, after being healthy again for 2 months I tried 1/2 tsp of maca to test and am sick and nauseous.
I know many people take maca with no problems. I only post this so those who get sick will hopefully not struggle as long as I did to figure out what is causing it.

It took some adjusting for me but I found that when I add Nutiva cacao to the blend that takes care of it. Maca really helps my energy and does all that the package describes. I wouldn't be without it. Any time I have used the last of it with the next order not arriving yet I notice a dip in energy. So it truly is a wonderful item to have one's diet program. I always use Nutiva's cacao with it and that does help modify the taste for those who have trouble adjusting to it. It does take some adjusting but I'd not do it alone as some people have suggested who have rated it poorly. I put it with my hot nut milk and then add Nutiva cacao to it. Many times I will add Nutiva cacao and this Nutiva maca to my espresso coffee to give it all a little more zing. It works in many nice ways. I also use maca and cacao in my soy protein drink so I really do enjoy it. Tiberius

I ordered this product a while back because of its superfood benefits such as increased energy. I'm not quite sure how to explain the flavor but when I add it to my smoothie made with very sweet strawberries and oranges it remind me of a sweet tart. I have never tried it alone. When I did use this consistently for a couple of weeks, I found I had increased energy. I would definitely order it again.

I have been suffering from hormonal issues since coming off the birth control pill. I started taking Navitas maca powder and in a week I noticed the difference, my complexion was all clean again. I also agree with the fact that it diminishes appetite. Every morning, the first thing I do is to drink the following mixture: 8oz water + 2tsp Bragg organic raw-unfiltered apple cider vinegar + 2tsp Navitas organic raw maca powder + 2tsp honey. I don't even have any breakfast till 1pm. I would recommend this to anybody, it's a very nice, enjoyable drink. I have to admit that I hate any type of vinegar, but I take it to help my body to balance its ph. Moderate bitterness of maca makes this mixture really nice. I am going to try other Navitas products too. And also, Amazon offers a good deal, this is cheaper than Whole Foods price.
